Fashion Influences

Fashion Influences

Fashion is influenced by almost everything, like, people’s hair colour, mood, climate and culture. There are also other factors that influence fashion such as magazines like Xposé and Vogue. These contain fashion comments and techniques. These magazines influence people’s fashion thoughts and will influence them on buying a certain type of clothing. The climate will also influence the type of clothing you buy. The amount of income a person receives will also affect the brands of clothing they can buy and the variety to choose from.

Materials used in Fashion

There are many different materials used to make clothes. Depending on which country you live in you would buy clothes of different materials. If you live in a country with a warm climate you would buy clothes of a light material. Some examples of materials used to make light clothing would be cotton, linen and silk.

For countries such as Ireland, heavier materials would be used in clothes. The heavier the clothing the warmer you will be. Therefore clothing made out of wool or fur would be very suitable for countries with a cooler climate.

Examples of winter fashion outfits.

This is an example of what teenagers would wear in Ireland during the winter months. (above) In the above picture, she is wearing a heavy coat, jeans and fluffy UGG boots.
An example of what Australians or Americans wear in the winter months. (below) There is a difference in the clothing we wear. In the picture below, she is only wearing a light t-shirt, jeans, coat and pumps.
The clothes are much lighter and have less warmth than our clothes. For example, the UGGS keep your feet warm like in Ireland our feet would be very cold in pumps in the winter.
